Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 6, 2026

Omniscient is built around user control, clear consent, and practical security. This page describes how privacy works in the product today.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Omniscient collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Omniscient web application and related services.

2. Data You Provide

We collect data you choose to provide, including account information, memories you write or upload, and chat inputs/outputs generated in the product experience.

3. Connected Sources and OAuth

When you connect third-party services (for example Gmail, Outlook, GitHub, and Notion), we use OAuth tokens to access only the scopes you authorize. We never ask for or store your third-party account password. You can revoke access at any time through the provider and disconnect sources in Omniscient.

4. How We Use Data

Your data is used to provide and improve the product experience: importing records, personalizing AI responses, enabling writing assistance, and powering search/filtering in your vault. We do not sell personal data.

5. AI Model Usage

Your data is used for inference to deliver your requested features. We do not intentionally use your personal vault data to train public or shared foundation models.

6. Storage, Security, and Access

We apply security controls including encrypted transport (TLS), authenticated access, scoped OAuth credentials, and server-side authorization checks. Access to your data is restricted to what is necessary to operate the service.

7. Retention and Deletion

Data is retained until you delete it or close your account, subject to legal obligations. You may remove memories, disconnect sources, export data, or request account deletion.

8. Your Controls

You can manage source scopes (Chat/Write), include or exclude imported records, export your vault, and control what data is connected at any time.

9. Subprocessors and Third Parties

We rely on infrastructure and API providers to deliver service functionality (for example cloud hosting, database, and AI/API integrations). These providers process data under contractual and technical safeguards.

10. Children’s Privacy

Omniscient is not directed to children under 13 (or higher minimum age where required by law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. International Transfers

If you access Omniscient from outside the jurisdiction where our systems are hosted, your data may be transferred and processed in other countries.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below and, where appropriate, providing in-product notice.
